NEW ONLINE PETITION LAUNCHED
We have heard that DEFRA
are considering how they can consult the public during their Review of National
Parks Governance Arrangements. Because
the timescale for this review is quite short, and taking into account that we
have just started the summer holiday season and the House of Commons rises on
27 July 2010 we feel it is appropriate to launch an online petition simply
asking for direct and meaningful public consultation with residents, workers
and businesses in the National Parks.
This is a one-off
opportunity for National Park residents to be involved in "The Big Society" - lets ensure that DEFRA
will show a willingness to engage with the people of the national parks after
all, you know more about where you live than perhaps unelected bureaucrats do,
and you are capable of meaningful discussions on the future of your communities!
Please feel free to send
the link to all your friends, family and colleagues and ask them to do the
same.
If you belong to a
community organisation then please send the link to your mailing list if
appropriate.

ONLY BY WORKING TOGETHER CAN WE CHALLENGE THE
DEMOCRATIC DEFICIT IN THE NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK!
