McIntosh: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs which body will determine applications for funding for rural
development programmes between 2010 and 2013; and if she will make a statement.

Mr
Paice: The bodies which currently manage delivery of the Rural
Development Programme for England (RDPE) will continue to do so for the
remainder of the programme period, until the end of 2013, with the exception of
the regional development agencies (RDAs), which will be abolished by March
2012.
The Government are working to ensure a smooth transition
to new delivery arrangements for the socio-economic elements of RDPE. We expect
to be able to provide details shortly.
