Mr Iain Wright: To ask the Secretary of
State for Communities and Local Government what plans he has to allocate
planning functions to the elected executive of local authorities; and if he
will make a statement. [7114]
Robert Neill: At present we have no specific
plans to make any changes to how local planning authorities divide the
exercising of their planning functions between elected
members and officers. These are matters for each local planning
authority to decide, and to set out in their individual schemes of delegation.
